SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Socio economic growth and environment conservation have been JM’s priorities from the very beginning.  The company believes in a well-planned and structured social responsibility scheme for the villages in and around it’s area of operations. We at JM have a clear plan in place and are gearing ourselves towards it.

JM in its three years of incorporation has already looked at tribal & local development. Infrastructure and peripheral development programmes constitute of:

• Developing village roads for better access and communication.
• Deep bore wells to supply drinking water to the close by villages all through the season and especially in summers when the water table drops.

• Encouraging village sports especially soccer which the tribal enjoy playing.
• We also encourage local art, dance and cultural activities within the community.
• For entertainment and nurturing the culture of the tribal villagers we have provided percussion instruments and flutes to help keep their tradition alive.
• A substantial part of this contribution goes into the government corpus and the government utilizes it for larger common activities such as community blocks, schools for adults and child education.

The company believes and has planned to take up new developmental activities every year. JM’s endeavour is to make a difference to the state of Orissa by creating a model of social and economic development.
